What is angle stop valve
Angle stop valve is a necessary plumbing fitting in toilets, kitchens and other places. It is a necessary fitting for connecting faucets, water heaters, toilets and other sanitary equipment. It is generally used at the location of the plumbing outlet. When the faucet leaks, as long as the corresponding angle valve is closed, the faucet can be repaired or replaced without turning off the main valve to affect other places. It is the second guarantee switch for sanitary equipment.
Under normal circumstances, you need 2 under the counter basin, 2 water heaters, 2 under the kitchen sink, 1 behind the toilet, 7 for a kitchen and 1 bathroom, and 10-12 for a kitchen and 2 bathrooms.
Applications of angle stop valves
Angle stop valves have a wide application range, indispensable for kitchen and bathroom water supply, connect the pipelines to faucets by flexible hose. There are toilet angle stop valve, 2 way angle valve price, angle valve 1 way, brasscraft multi turn angle valve, angle stop valve for toilet, water angle valve, angle stop check valve.
How to install angle stop valves
1. Choose an compression brass angle valve with the same specifications as the inner wire interface. If the inner wire connection is 4 points, then the selected compression brass angle valve must also have a 4 point interface.
2. Use the raw material tape to wrap the screw port of the compression brass angle valve. Pay attention when winding it. The winding direction of the raw material tape should be opposite to the thread direction of the compression brass angle valve. If the thread direction is installed in a clockwise direction, the raw tape should be wound in a counterclockwise direction.
3. The thread of the compression brass angle valve is installed in a clockwise direction, so the raw material tape is wound in a counterclockwise direction, and it can be cut by winding about 5-10 times.
4. Insert the compression brass angle valve wrapped with the raw material tape into the inner wire interface, and turn it clockwise until it is tightened. It can be screwed to the end of the compression brass angle valve thread. If the strength is not enough, you can use a wrench to bite the corners of the compression brass angle valve and continue to screw it to the end.
5. Turn on the switch to test whether the compression brass angle valve is leaking. If there is water leaking at the interface, you can remove it, wrap the raw material tape and repeat the above operation.
Technical requirements of angle stop valves
1.1 Appearance
1.1.1 The electroplating surface should be evenly glossy, free of peeling, cracking, scorching, bottoming, peeling, and obvious pitting, burrs and other defects.
1.1.2 The polished surface should be smooth and free of obvious burrs, scratches, etc.
1.1.3 The surface of the casting shall not have obvious defects such as sand holes, shrinkage holes, cracks, pores, etc.
1.1.4 There should be no defects such as flashing, sink marks, warping, welding marks, etc. on the surface of plastic parts.
1.1.5 There shall be no defects such as dents and broken teeth on the thread surface.
1.2 coating and plating
After 12 hours of acid salt spray test, the electroplated layer should reach the level 10 requirement.
1.3 Processing and assembly
1.3.1 angle stop valve installation pipe threads should meet the requirements of corresponding thread gauges: pass through and stop, and external threads meet the B-level accuracy requirements.
1.3.2 There should be no impurities such as copper scraps in the inner cavity of the angle stop valve.
1.3.3 The connection between the handle and the valve stem should be firm and not loose.
1.3.4 Rotating the angle stop valve switch should be light, stable and free from jamming, turning it clockwise to turn off, and turning it counterclockwise to turn it on.
1.3.5 The direction, color, position and content of the trademark or logo are correct, and the installation is firm.
1.3.6 The limit deviation of the axis angle between the two connecting threads of the valve body should not be more than 2º. Perform detection according to the method shown in Figure 1. Measure the values of points A and B respectively, and calculate according to the following formula.
1.4 Mechanical properties
1.1.1 "After the end of the handle of the angle stop valve adopting ceramic valve core is subjected to (4±0.5)Nm torque and maintained (5min±0.5min) after the test, there should be no visible deformation or damage to any part by visual inspection.
1.1.2 The connecting pipe thread of the angle stop valve should be able to bear the torque. The nominal size DN15: the torque of 61 Nm; the nominal size of DN20: the torque of 88 Nm; the nominal size of DN25: the torque of 129Nm. After the torsion torque test, there should be no cracks and damage.
1.5 Size
The nominal diameter, thread specification and style, and effective length of the right-angle valve and straight-through valve must meet the requirements.
1.6 Strength test
The angle stop valve is installed in the use state, the water outlet is closed, the valve core is opened, the hydrostatic pressure of 1.5MPa±0.05MPa is introduced from the water inlet, and the pressure is maintained at (60±5)S. The valve body should be visually inspected without deformation and leakage. There must be no leakage at the connection part.
1.7 Upper sealing test
The angle stop valve is installed in use. The water outlet is closed, the valve core is opened, and the hydrostatic pressure of 1.1MPa±0.05MPa is introduced from the water inlet, and the pressure is maintained at (60±5)S. Visually check that there is no leakage at each connection part.
1.8 Sealing test
The angle stop valve is installed in the use state, the valve core is closed, the hydrostatic pressure of 1.1±0.05MPa is introduced from the water inlet, and the pressure is maintained (60±5)S, and the water outlet shall not leak visually.
1.9 Flow rate
Flow test method and requirements: The angle stop valve is installed in use, 0.3±0.02MPa is introduced from the water inlet to form a stable and continuous water flow, the handle is opened to the maximum flow position, and the flow rate of the measured angle stop valve should not be less than 0.25L/S.
1.10 Life Durability
The angle stop valve is installed according to the state of use. The water pressure of (0.3±0.02) MPa is introduced from the water inlet, and the handle is opened and closed for one life. The time for each opening and closing is (5±1)S, after reaching 10,000 times.
How to test angle stop valves
Angle stop valves are strictly tested in our lab, our test laboratory equips with various devices for quality inspect and control. Brass material composition is tested by material spectrometer analyzer, as well as other equipment such as flow rate tester, torque tester, body resistance tester, endurance tester, high-low temperature tester.
