EN12164 is the most common standard of brass material for brass ball valves, which also much referred for other countries when drafting relative standards. It specifies the composition, property requirements and dimensional tolerances for copper alloy rod supplied in straight lengths, specially intended for free machining purposes.
We sgguest our customers of brass ball valves to select brass materials by standard of EN12164 standard, our brass ball valve products are also produced and tested according to EN12164.
EN12164 standard requires brass material product designation to provide a standardized pattern of designation fro which a repid and unequivocal description is coveyed in communication, the designation shall includes denomination, number of stardand, material designation,
EN12164 standard specified the test methods of brass materials for brass ball valves:
1. material composition analsis: shall be carried out on the test pieces prepared from the test samples by metal analysis equipment.
2. Tensile test: the test samples from products up to and including 30mm diameter, or width across-flats, the test shall be carried out in accordance with the method diven in EN1002-1.
3. Dezincification resistance test:
4. Sress corrosion resistance test
EN12164 standard also specifies the brass material composition for different brass material code,

Here we introduce most popular brass materials that we use for brass ball valves.
CW614N brass has very good cutting performance, commonly known as fast cutting. It has excellent hot section performance and can be used to produce various forgings of brass ball valves.
CW617N brass has excellent hot forging and processing properties. It is the most economical and most commonly used alloy for pins, screws, washers, washers, twisters, bushes, nozzles, nuts, bases, bearing retainers, etc.
CW602N is a complex high-strength brass with a density of 8.4. Aluminum can increase the strength, hardness and corrosion resistance of brass, but reduce its plasticity. It is suitable for marine condensers and other corrosion-resistant parts. Tin can improve the strength of brass and its corrosion resistance to seawater, so it is called naval brass and is used for ship thermal equipment and propellers. Lead can improve the cutting performance of brass; this kind of free-cutting brass is often used as watch parts. Brass castings are often used to make valves and pipe fittings.
From about details you have known that, we mainly produce CW614N brass ball ball valves, CW617N brass ball ball valves, CW602N brass ball ball valves,
