Water Heater Brass Safety Valve

Brass safety valve for water heater N10151003 is a special brass valve for electric water heater, designed without handle to save space and fix the working pressure. Each valve is set to rated pressure and 100% leakage test during production. the disc is optional for brass and plastic.The safety valves are with three year quality warranty.

The water heater brass safety valve disc is pressed tightly against the valve seat, and the medium of the equipment cannot be discharged. When the pressure in the equipment exceeds the specified working pressure and reaches the opening pressure of the safety valve, the force of the internal medium acting on the alarm flap is greater than the force exerted on it by the loading mechanism, so the valve flap leaves the valve seat, the safety valve opens, and the equipment The internal medium is discharged through the valve seat. If the displacement of the safety valve is greater than the safety discharge volume of the equipment, the pressure in the equipment will gradually drop, and after a short time of exhaust, the pressure will drop back to the normal working pressure. At this time, the force exerted by the internal pressure on the valve flap is less than the force exerted on it by the loading mechanism, the valve flap is tightly pressed against the valve seat, the medium stops discharging, and the equipment continues to operate under normal working pressure. 

When the pressure of the vessel exceeds the design regulations, the water heater brass safety valve is automatically opened to discharge the excessive pressure in the gas reducer to prevent the vessel or pipeline from being damaged. When the pressure in the container drops to the normal operating pressure, it is automatically closed to avoid exhausting all the gas due to over-pressure in the container, resulting in waste and production interruption. The water heater brass safety valve is mainly composed of three parts: valve seat, valve disc (spool) and loading mechanism.

Water heater brass safety valve thread types differ from markets and applications: BSP threads for Europe and NPT threads for North America, also other metric threads, which you must confirm before buying brass safety valves.We currently work with HPb57-3 brass radiator valves for most customers in Europe and Asia, CW617N brass radiator valves for Europe, C377700 and lead free brass for North America.

1. Before installing brass safety valve, make sure the valve pressure conforms to water heater. The working pressure normally marked on safety valve body and water heater instructions.

2. Clean and remove any objects from the pipes (in particular bits of sealing and metal), which could obstruct and block the valves.

3. Ensure that both connecting pipes either side of the valve (upstream and downstream) are aligned (if they are not the brass safety valves may not work correctly).

4. Make sure that the two sections of the pipe (upstream and downstream) match, the brass safety valve will not absorb any gaps. Any distortions in the pipes may affect the tightness of the connection, the working of the valve and can even cause a rupture.

CW614N and CW617N brass materials are widely used for European water heater brass safety valve.

CW617N water heater brass safety valve has better physical property to stand higher working pressure and temperature, more importantly the Pb percentage share is less than 2.5% and applicable for drinking water systems, good for environment and people’s health.

CW614N  water heater brass safety valve is also popularly used because of similar compositions and lower costs, suitable for those applications without much environmental requirements.

Rough color is brass safety valve body sandblasted and without plating.

Electroplating (nickel-plating and chrome-plating) can enhance the corrosion resistance of brass safety valves, increase hardness, prevent abrasion, improve conductivity, smoothness, heat resistance.

1. Brass raw materials are bought from local suppliers in forms of brass bars.

2. Brass bars are cut into smaller pieces with different sizes according to order requirements, heated with natural gas.

3. The heated brass bars are forged by forging machines, Out-comings are semi-finished rough brass safety valve bodies.

4. The rough brass safety valve bodies are trimmed and cut off unnecessary parts.

5. The rough brass safety valve bodies are washed with sanding machines, to clean the dirty and oils during production.

6. The rough brass bodies are machined by CNC machinery for threads and dimensions.

7. The machined  brass safety valve bodies are nickel- or chrome-plated.

8. The brass valves are ready for delivery after final finished goods quality inspection.

Brass safety valve packing is very important for safe transport and brand appearance.

We pack brass safety valves in small inner boxes, then put into outer cartons, finally load in wooden pallets.
